A holiday farm on a homestead with swimming pool in the heart of Salento
TORRE CASCIANI is an agritourism homestead surrounded by 50 hectares of land. It is an ideal place for everyone, singles, families and couples. Torre Casciani is only two kilometers from the Ugento Sea (Lecce). The homestead consists of a 1500’s fortified tower and includes buildings from later periods (1700’s-1800’s). All the structures (made with stones, red earth and calcareous local tuff blocks) are infused with prehistoric, messapic, imperial and medieval traces. In other words, Torre Casciani is a place that has been lived in every historical age.
The climate, due to the short distance from the sea combined with the relative altitude is tempered: in summer it is hot enough to enjoy the natural cool shades of the trees and stone buildings; there is always a pleasant sea breeze, little rain that is regenerating and short-lived.
